Lindos

Known best for its whitewashed buildings, golden sand beaches, historical and archaeological significance, and especially for its clifftop acropolis, the famed town of Lindos never fails to awe and inspire all those who choose to visit.

A major highlight of the town, the Acropolis of Lindos, is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites on Rhodes. Excavated in the early 20th century, the ruins of this acropolis are located on a steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Situated on the Greek island of Rhodes, Lindos is said to date back to the 10th century. This tourism hotspot attracts travellers with charming beaches such as the popular Lindos Beach, the quieter Pallas Beach, and the picturesque St. Paul’s Bay.

In addition, since many of the buildings in Lindos have flat roofs, rooftop restaurants are quite common and can be enjoyed year-round thanks to the region’s Mediterranean climate.
