Salta, Argentina is a beautiful city to discover with its perfectly preserved colonial architecture and its stunning natural landscapes. Salta was conquered by the Spanish in the late 16th century, hence the heavy Spanish colonial influence in the city’s architecture, but there are still some traces of the Incan culture that flourished before the reign of the Spanish empire.
