Molde is a lovely fjord city located by the Romsdalsfjord. It is renowned for its wonderful views, beautiful surroundings and charming atmosphere. The locals call it the "Town of Roses", a nickname it received in the early 1900s thanks to the many rose gardens that could be found around town.

Some of the tourist attractions you will find nearby include the Romsdalseggen ridge where you can go hiking, the Trollstigen serpentine mountain road and the Atlantic Road which is built over the ocean. For the best panorama in town make sure you head to the Varden viewpoint where you can enjoy an extraordinary view of 222 mountain peaks.

The oldest annual jazz festival in Europe is also held here. The Molde International Jazz festival is a week-long celebration that usually takes place in July and sees the city transformed into a hub for jazz enthusiasts.
