Aktivitäten in Frankenthal

Frankenthal lies in the southwest of Germany in Rhineland-Palatinate Land (state) and in a distance of approximately 52km from Mainz (the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate).

In the 2nd century, an Augustinian monastery was built where you now can find the town. Nowadays, you still can see its ruins in the center of the town. While the city was once known for porcelain production, today the economy is dominated by machinery production and a large service sector.
